Duo Sports, led by Justin McKenzie - the Chula Vista Personal Trainer, specializes in player scouting and recruiting for American Football in Europe. We also perform sports training and is the home of the Thundercats travel team.

Duo Sports was founded in 2005 by Justin Mc Kenzie and the primary purpose was personal training and youth sports performance training. Over the years Duo Sports has moved on to expand into high school sports as well as train numerous college level, semi-pro, and minor league professional athletes. Duo Sports began training out of the Otay Recreation Center in Chula Vista , California but by late 2005 moved into it's own facility still using the Otay Recreation Center from time to time for larger events and training sessions. Since in foundation in 2005 Duo Sports has grown and become the training home for athletes and the personal training clients from all over San Diego County and our clientele range from youth athletes to lawyers and everything in between. We are staffed entirely by former athletes who believe the key to a healthy life is an active lifestyle. Beyond our training programs over the years we have developed into an events management company, a football academy, and have helped several players be placed on teams domestically and internationally. Justin Mc Kenzie
Justin is the founder of Duo Sports and has over 10 years experience as a personal trainer and 7 years of professional football experience as a player in Europe, Arena/Indoor Football and Latin America . Additionally Justin also has several years experience as a coach on the youth, high school, and international levels as well as front office work as a football camp counselor, scout, and recruiter/assistant general manager. Justin as a player and a coach has been a part of several championship and play-off level teams and has a true passion for sports and fitness and seeing his clients, students, and athletes succeed.

As a player Justin has won a championship on every level from youth football through the minor league professional level and has played at a high level all over the world. In Europe Justin has played for the Aquile Ferrara ( Italy ), Kirchdorf Wildcats ( Germany ), Carinthian Black Lions ( Austria ), Porvoo Butchers ( Finland ), and Coventry Jets ( England ). Additionally Justin has also worked out with and been offered contracts with the Stuttgart Scorpions ( Germany ) and Langenfeld Longhorns ( Germany ). In 5 seasons in Europe Justin has been a part of 3 Championship teams, a #1 ranked team, and participated in the European champion's league. Justin was also the first import in Latin America when he joined the ULACIT Warriors for an international rivalry game in Managua , Nicaragua against the Nicaragua Guerreros. Domestically Justin played arena/indoor football in the NIFL for the Wyoming Cavalry, Big Sky Thunder, and San Diego Shockwave as well as the San Diego Riptide of the af2. Justin played his college football at the University of Redlands and Southwestern College , where he was a member of the '00 SCIAC Champions at the University of Redlands and played in the Southern California Bowl in '99 with Southwestern College . As a prep player Justin played at tiny Midway Baptist in South San Diego where he won the '94 San Diego Section CIF Championship and Citrus League Championship as well as the Coastal League Championship in '96. Justin's first brush with championship football came at the age of 12 leading the Chula Vista Aztecs to the Q-Bowl Championship in 1992. As an individual Justin was a 2 time 1st Team All -Coastal League QB, Coastal League Offensive Player of the Year, 2 nd Team All-Foothill Conference QB, 6 times University of Redlands Offensive Player of the Week, leader in total offense in Finland and Germany as well as the first player in Coventry Jets history to throw, run, and receive a TD in the same game.

As a coach Justin has led 3 youth teams to the play-offs ( Chula Vista in '96 and '97, Eastlake in '06), and the '06 Eastlake Panthers led the league in offense and finished second in the Las Vegas Pig-skin Classic tournament. He has also been an offensive consultant to 2 high school play-off teams the '04 & '05 Midway Patriots, as well as the QB and WR coach for the Bavarian vice-champions the Kirchdorf Wildcats Juniors. In '05 in addition to consulting and coaching on the high school level Justin was the Offensive Coordinator and Assistant Head Coach of the San Diego Warriors semi-pro team and the western region scout for the Ottawa Renegades of the CFL with the responsibility of working at the training camp of the San Diego Chargers. Justin has also worked two summers '00 and '01 for Offense-Defense Football camps as a counselor. Justin is currently also an offensive consultant with Francis Parker School in San Diego and the Head Coach of the North Harbour Pride in Auckland , New Zealand .

Tim Parker
Tim is an assistant trainer and the Kicking and Punting coach at Duo Sports. Tim was an All Pac 10 kicker at Arizona State handling both kicking and punting duties for the Sun Devils. Before heading to Arizona State Tim played locally here in San Diego at Southwestern College and Eastlake High School. Upon completion of his college career Tim worked out with a few NFL teams and received some offers to play Arena/Indoor  football as well. Since the Tim has played in the Southern California semi pro league the LCFL, where he has been an all star kicker playing 2 seasons with the San Diego Stallions and is currently the kicker and punter for the National City Bears. In the spring season Tim plays for the San Diego Thundercats operated by Duo Sports and in addition to his kicking and punting duties Tim also plays QB for the Thundercats and is the special teams and wide receiver coach for the Eastlake Panthers Midget Division (8th grade Team)

Mario Aguirre
Mario is another trainer at Duo Sports who started out as an apprentice to Duo Sports Founder Justin Mc Kenzie. Mario has over 7 years working in the Duo Sports program as a trainer and athlete. Mario played football professionally in Germany for the Remscheid Amboss where his versatility saw him play QB, RB, WR, and Return Specialist. Mario played his college football at Southwestern College and Mario is currently a member of the San Diego Thundercats team that is operated by Duo Sports.
